The door is open…

... TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY WELCOME PEOPLE IN MEDICAL CRISIS AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR NEEDS.

Our community is in the process of completing a project of tremendous importance: fulfilling the mitzvot of Hachnassat Orchim (welcoming guests) and Bikkur Cholim (taking care of the sick) at a universal level. The door is open for you to join.

All mitzvot are special, but some have unique qualities. The Talmud tells us that welcoming guests and visiting and assisting the sick are acts of kindness for which “a person enjoys the fruits in this world, and the principal endures in the World to Come….” (Shabbat 127a and 127b).

The Bet Refael Guest House in Palo Alto allows us to provide a permanent space to host families who come to our community every year for lifesaving medical treatment.

The space contains comfortable accommodations, a kosher kitchen, Jewish books, Shabbat supplies and much more. Join in this mitzvah today and help provide lifesaving relief to families trying to cope in an unfamiliar place.

The time is now.

We’re just about to finish. Jump in and be part of it.
