By wrapping the straps on your arm and head, you physically and symbolically align your actions, heart, and mind to a higher purpose, deepening your connection to the Creator and the global Jewish community.
How to Get Involved & Learn More
If you are looking to deepen your understanding of Tefillin, obtain your first pair, or ensure your current pair is properly kosher, you can reach out to your Rabbi at Chabad Palo Alto:
*Learn about providing or receiving your first pair.
*Check and Repair by finding qualified scribes (Sofrim) who can examine and adjust your Tefillin to ensure they remain strictly Kosher.
*Educational resources to discover more about the significance of this Mitzvah.

Over the past few years, and especially since October 7th, hearts across the Jewish world have been waking up. That’s why we are launching an initiative to give expression to this inner call of Jewish hearts.
I AM YISRAEL CHAI Project gives everyone access to the core of the Jewish toolbox: the simple mitzvah. At its root, mitzvah means connection: a direct link to G-d, our soul, and one another.
Each month will spotlight one mitzvah or Jewish value to invite every individual to engage with it in a new light. Stay tuned for creative gatherings, hands-on workshops, and more! Imagine every individual proud to say in their own way:
I belong to Am Yisrael, the Jewish nation.

A Community Grows Together
THE PLAN:
Chabad proposes something simple yet powerful: let us all go on a journey together, whereby for the next 12 months, we will collectively explore and practice another mitzvah. Each of us engaging at our own pace and level will contribute to the collective whole.
No prior education, knowledge, belief or expertise is required. We will be keeping this easy, simple and fun. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to try new things.
